  5. Hard drive utility for initializing, updating, partitioning,
  6. and testing Apple SCSI and IDE hard drives. This version
  7. replaces all previous versions of Drive Setup. See below for

  11. What's New in Drive Setup?
  12. --------------------------

  14. Drive Setup 1.2 includes the following new enhancements:
  15.  
  16. - Adds support for hard drives in the PCMCIA slots and
  17.   expansion bay.
  18.  
  19. - Installs version 8.0.6 of the Apple SCSI driver, which
  20.   fixes a memory allocation problem.
  21.  
  22. - Installs the SCSI Mesh patch. For more information on the
  23.   SCSI Mesh patch, please consult the Tech Info Library.

  25. These enhancements are installed during initialization or when
  26. the user performs a driver update.

  29. Drive Setup 1.2 requires System Software 7.5 or later. Apple
  30. recommends using Drive Setup 1.2 on the following systems:

  32. - Power Macintosh systems (including PowerPC-based Performa
  33.   systems)
  34.   
  35. - PowerPC-based PowerBook systems, including PowerBooks equipped
  36.   with PPC Upgrade.

  38. - Macintosh 580 and 630 series systems
  39.  
  40. - PowerBook 190 series systems

  43. Drive Setup 1.2 does not support the Macintosh Processor
  44. Upgrade.  If the upgrade is installed in a Macintosh 580- or
  45. 630-series system, use the "601 Processor Upgrade" control
  46. panel to turn the card off before using Drive Setup.

  48. Drive Setup 1.2 does not support the PowerBook 150.
